Saptari, Jan 3: Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh said that there is a need to make Nepali Congress strong to make the democratic republic system robust.
Speaking to a program organized by the district executive committee of the Nepali Congress, Saptari today, DPM said there is a need for the Nepali Congress to be strong in order to make the current democratic system strong as the current democratic system is established after a huge struggle and sacrifice.
The former general secretary of Nepali Congress Singh urged leaders and cadres to work to improve the organization.
He said that the constitution was promulgated under the leadership of the Nepali Congress.
DPM Singh added that the government formed by Nepali Congress-CPN (UML) coalition based on the principle of necessity.
The DPM said, “The incumbent government of Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) is formed on the principle of necessity”. He added, “The government formed by small parties created instability. People became hopeless due to frequent change of government. The current government is formed to run stable government”.
Invoking how the former Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi became Chairman of the interim election council in the past the DPM said forming the government with an alliance of the two largest parties is a general process.
He also said the current government is working for economic prosperity in addition to political stability.
