Kathmandu, Dec 30: Nepali Congress Public Liaison Committee organized a programme today in New York, United States of America on the occasion of National Reconciliation Day.
NC central member, Kiran Paudel,
while addressing the programme, said that the policy of national reconciliation
will always help in the development of politics and social transformation.
He discussed the need for skills,
capital and technology acquired abroad for the prosperity of the country.
On that occasion, the representatives
of various organizations in America demanded that the government of Nepal
should come up with a clear policy regarding the Nepali citizenship of the
expatriate Nepalis scattered around the world.
Chairman of the Committee, Anand
Bista, the former president of Nepal Press Union, Samirjung Shah, member of the
Congress mahasamiti, Kanchha Lama and others, raised the citizenship of the
expatriate Nepalis and other problems and drew the attention of the Nepal
