By Siraj Khan,Nepalgunj, Dec. 28: A school in Kohalpur Municipality, Banke, has launched the ‘Parents in the Classroom Programme’ to improve the quality of education, after recognising the educational status of its students.

Shankar Neupane, the headmaster of Kohalpur Secondary School, said that the programme aimed to inform parents about their children's educational progress and gather suggestions on enhancing the quality of education.

Kohalpur Secondary School, managed by the Public Educational Guthi, is located in Kohalpur-11, within the town planning area.

Headmaster Neupane said that the programme was initiated to invite parents into the classroom and allow them to observe their children's educational progress.

He said that the programme would establish a triangular relationship between teachers, students, and parents, which is crucial for improving the quality of education.

The school has noted that parents, especially in community schools, often lack awareness of their children's education. To address this, the school has made it mandatory for parents to attend the school and stay informed about their children's academic progress.

Parents have expressed their support for the initiative, stating that it will significantly improve the quality of education and encourage active parental involvement. The programme has been introduced for grade seven students.

Parents will gain direct insights into their children's learning through this programme. They will be informed about the classroom activities and teaching methods. It will allow them to provide feedback and suggestions to the teachers and school.

Dhanraj Yogi whose son studies in grade seven praised the initiative calling it effective and beneficial. He believes it will help regularise students' attendance and keep parents well-informed about the classroom activities.
