Rabi Lamichhane suspended from HoR member: Parliament Secretariat

Kathmandu, Dec 23: The Member of House of Representatives (HoR) elected from Chitwan-2, Rabi Lamichhane, has been suspended from the post automatically, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.     

A notice issued on Monday by Federal-Parliament General-Secretary, Padma Prasad Pandey, reads that Lamichhane was automatically suspended as per Section 27 of Money-Laundering Prevention Act, 2064.     

Writing to Speaker, District Police Office, Kaski, on Sunday had informed about the case of money laundering filed against Lamichhane at the Kaski District Court.     

Kaski Police had sent a letter to the Federal Parliament Secretariat to suspend Chair Lamichchane from the post of HoR member.     

Meanwhile, Deputy-Chairperson of Rastriya Swantantra Party, Dol Prasad Aryal, has been assigned as Acting Chairperson of the party.     

A Secretariat meeting of the RSP took the decision to this regard.(RSS)
