National Flag Day marked

By our correspondent,Nisha Rai, Dec. 17: National Flag Day was marked in Dharan to commemorate the day the United Nations officially recognised the Nepali flag on a global scale.

National Flag Day is celebrated annually on December 16. A rally was organised in Dharan, where participants carried the national flags. 

The rally started from the Dharan Sub-Metropolitan Office and passed through Chatara Line, Chata Chowk, Singh Devi Chowk, Purano Bazaar and Desi Line before it concluded at Bhanu Chowk.

The rally was attended by notable figures, including the Deputy Chief of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan, Aindra Bikram Begha, former Speaker Pradeep Bhandari, Senior Superintendent of Police Bhim Dahal, as well as representatives from various political parties and organisations.
