By Avinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi, Nov. 30: The government of Sudurpaschim Province has spent 9.22 percent of the budget allocated for the current fiscal year 2081/82.
The provincial government has spent three billion, nine million and six hundred thousand rupees out of the total allocation till November 25.
The budget was presented in the provincial assembly for the second time for the current fiscal year.
The presented budget was passed by the provincial assembly only in the first week of October.
The total budget of the provincial government for the current fiscal year is 31 billion six hundred twenty-nine million, or eight hundred thousand rupees.
According to the Provincial Treasury Comptroller Office, one billion 776 million 400 thousand rupees (13.81 percent) of the government's current budget has been spent.
Currently, the government has allocated a budget of 12 billion 857 million and four hundred thousand rupees for current fiscal year.
Similarly, the capital budget (budget spent on development work) has been spent 18 billion 672 million and four hundred thousand rupees (6.57 percent).
According to Yagyaraj Pandey, the Information Officer at the Office of the Province Financial Comptroller, Kailali, the provincial government has allocated a total budget of 18 billion 672 million 400 hundred thousand rupees on the capital side.
