IT a priority of the government: Minister Gurung

Gandaki, Nov 27: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the development and use of information technology is the priority of the current government.     

Speaking at a program on 'Information on E-Signatures' organized by the Office of the Certification Controller in Pokhara today, he said that public service delivery will be streamlined using information technology.     

 He said that along with the change in the system there is also a need for a change in the working style. Stating that the information technology sector has made a great contribution to the development of developed countries around the world, he said that Nepal has potential in the field of information technology due to its open society, democratic system, etc.     

Minister of Health of Gandaki Province, Krishna Prasad Pathak, said that the ministry is working towards e-governance and that the cooperation of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology was necessary towards that end.(RSS)
