Population related to economic, social, political strategy: PM Oli

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 27: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has viewed that issues of population should be seen from the perspective of the economic, social, political strategy.

Inaugurating the 6th Asian Population Association Conference here today, PM Oli said that the government was effortful in meeting the basic needs of the marginalized and poor communities for easy livelihood while paying attention to the interrelation between development and population density.

According to the PM's secretariat, PM Oli talked in virtual manner with the mother of a new-born baby at Kathmandu Medical College hospital as a part of inaugurating the conference.

PM Oli highlighted on narrowing gap between the poor and the rich by adopting policy of equality and inclusion and unity among all to build a world of optimism, human rights, self-esteem and health.


The PM expected substantive suggestion from the conference on problems and solutions to human development and good lifestyle for security of the world and the human being.

He pointed at the need to move forward global partnership to face challenges of climate change and stressed on joint effort for sustainable development and good governance.

PM Oli emphasized on the need to translate the slogan of 'prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali' into tangible achievements.
