By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov.18: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has paid his tribute by draping Daman Nath Dhungana's mortal remains with the national flag, as a part of state honours to the deceased leader.
PM Oli reached Gyaneswor-based Sanogaucharan, where the mortal body of former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana has been kept to pay homage.
On that occasion, PM Oli said that former speaker Dhungana was a multifaceted personality with his own unique identity and recognition in the parliamentary practice of Nepal.
"Since he has succeeded in leaving a great impact on Nepal's parliamentary practice, there is a need to follow the path shown by him", he said.
Likewise, the President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba also paid their last respects to the deceased Dhungana.
Remembering the role played by Dhungana in establishing, the 'Parliament is of Opposition' concept, NC president Deuba said that Dhungana's step was lauded in national and international forums.
