By Sapana Thami, Kathmandu, Nov. 13: The Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has asked to go to people's houses along with introspection.
She addressed the candidacy announcement program for the by-election held in Kirtipur on Wednesday.
While recalling some mistakes he had made in the past, Chair Prachanda said that instead of large gatherings and extravagance, one needs to go knock on every house and understand their problems.
He said, "We need to set a record in Kirtipur. We have some mistakes and slips in the past. Please, show your commitment by going door to door and ward to ward instead of relying on large gatherings. That will be meaningful. I want to give special instruction to Kirtipur Municipality to go door to door this time asking for a chance. Earlier, we slipped on this."
He said, "The nation has been witnessing the efforts of CPN (Maoist Center) for good governance and denizens know the reason behind the formation of a new coalition government."
In the upcoming by-election, only Kirtipur Municipality is running in –by-election.
The (Maoist Center) has announced its candidacy as Prof.Dr Shivasharan Maharjan as Mayor of Kirtipur municipality, Asthaman Maharjan for chair of ward-1, and Narayan Bista as chair of Ward 4 on Wednesday morning for the by-election on December 1.
