Kathmandu, Nov. 11: The film production company Kingdom Network, which made its first film Pujar Sarki, has produced its second film, Fracture.  Directed by renowned American director Ryan Travis, the movie is entirely in English.

Nepali actor Aryan Sigdel stars alongside Hollywood actor Trenton Rostedt in the leading roles. The film also features several Nepali actors, including Buddhi Tamang, Ashish Purush, Anita Pundit and Gunraj Shrestha, among others.

Producer Subash Bhusal said that the film was produced after Kingdom Network was recently established in the United States.

Bhusal said that Fracture represents a new effort to connect the Nepali film industry with international filmmakers, markets and audiences.

Hollywood actor Trenton has acted in several films and dozens of television series, including Hollywood Kills, Under the Western Sun, The Red, Black and Blonde: God Save, Between Kings and Queens, and Los encinos.

Other prominent figures involved in the film’s production include Chris Berutti, mountaineering expert Andrew Hughes, and two-time Emmy Award-winning producer Garrett Madison.

Most of Fracture was shot in Nepal, with approximately 70 per cent of scenes shot in locations like Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Panauti, Lukla and up to Everest Base Camp.

The storyline of Fracture revolves around an American soldier named Jack Stanton, who embarks on a perilous journey in the Everest region of Nepal to rescue a friend who went missing there.

Producer Bhusal said that the release date for Fracture has not yet been set, but discussions are underway for a global release. In Nepal, Manoj Joshi served as the production controller and Bikas Subedi as the line producer.

The American team recently returned to the US after completing the shoot.

Before departing, the team was bid farewell by Film Development Board Chairman Dinesh DC, presenting them  a location guidebook and a traditional Nepali Dhaka Topi.
