Barathahawa (Sarlahi), Nov 5: Two persons have gone missing in a pond after a car they were in plunged into the pond at Minyakhor of Ishworpur municipality-2 in Sarlahi early this morning.
The car (Lu 2 Cha 6758) was heading to Gaushala of Mahottari from Bayalbas, Sarlahi.
The District Police Office, Sarlahi informed that those missing after the car plunge are Rama Kant Thakur, 37, from Sonwa rural municipality-8 and Suresh Mahato, 38, from Gaushala municipality-10 in the car.
However, Janak Yadav, 31, was able to make a landfall by swimming, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dipak Shrestha.
DPS Shrestha informed the police persons were mobilized immediately after they received information on the incident. Later, a team of divers was requested from the Armed Police Force No 2 Division at Bardibas because the initial search could not trace the two missing ones.
The car went uncontrolled and slid into nearby pond from the road, the locals informed.
Investigation into the incident is underway, police added. (RSS)
