Siraha, Nov.3: A temporary wooden bridge has been built over the Kamala River
under the postal road connecting the Siraha and Dhanusha districts.
Owing to the difficulty faced while crossing the river due to
the collapse of the bridge, the bridge over the Kamala River has been
reconstructed.
Ward chair-6 Indrajeet Yadav said that two-wheelers and four-wheelers
have been charged to cross the river although pedestrians can cross without charge.
Siraha Municipality has deployed municipal employees on both
sides of the bridge. He said that previously, the money was collected by
building the bridge individually, but now the municipality will collect the
revenue from it.
“The collected money will be used for bridge repair,” he
said.
Despite the fact that the Saptari-Sirha section of the postal road has been blacktopped, however, many face problems in commuting because lack of a concrete bridge over the Kamala River that connects the two districts.
