Mutual unity and national spirit awakened through festivals: Chairman Prachanda

Kathmandu, Nov.2: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that various festivals celebrated in Nepal have made a special contribution to awakening the national spirit by maintaining national unity, social harmony, and tolerance among people. 

He said that cultural unity with diversity is the fundamental and original identity of Nepali. 

In his message on the occasion of the Tihar festival, Chhath, Nepal Sambat 1145, Guru Falgunanda Jayanti and Guru Nanak Jayanti, 2081 BS today, Chairman Prachanda stressed that the protection and well-being of all castes, languages, cultures, and civilizations is the basis of the prosperity of the country. 

Touching the subject of the recent natural disasters and their destruction and human casualties, the former PM wished that all Nepali will be able to enjoy the festival by being able to overcome with grave loss that they suffered during a recent disaster. (Translated from RSS)
