3.58 billion revenue collected in 3 months

Bhadrapur (Jhapa), Oct 20: The Mechi Customs Office has collected revenue worth Rs.3 billion 589 million in the first quarter of the financial year 2024/25, which is 20.69 percent of the annual target for the year.    
    
The office has set a target of collecting revenue of Rs 17 billion 340 million in this year, says customs officer Ganapati Kandel.    
    
The first quarter collection is more by Rs 190 million compared to the corresponding period of last fiscal year. In the same period of the year 2080/81, three billion 390 million rupees had been collected.    
    
In the year 2080/81, only 78.4 percent of the revenue collection target of 18.25 billion was met. As a result, the revenue target for this year has been reduced by Rs 910 million, the office said. (RSS)
