Septuagenarian died in elephant attack in Ilam

By Kokila Dhakal, Ilam,  Oct.15: A 73-year-old man from Chulachuli Rural Municipality-1, Ilam, died in an elephant attack at Chulachuli, Ilam, on Monday night. 

According to the District Police Office, an elephant attacked and injured septuagenarian Raj Kumar Rai while he was trying to chase away an elephant that had entered the human settlement.

The injured Rai was taken to Life-line Hospital Institute of Health Sciences, Damak-5 Jhapa, for treatment. 

However, he did not make it and died in the course of treatment around 10:30 PM on Monday.
