Speaker offers Bada Dashain best wishes

Kathmandu, Oct 11: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has extended best wishes for peace, happiness, prosperity, good health and continued progress to all the Nepali sisters and brothers living within the country and abroad on the occasion of the Bada Dashain festival. 

"Dashain has helped foster mutual goodwill, cooperation and reconciliation in the society, and a spirit of unity in the community. I request one and all to celebrate Dashain, travelling safely and cautiously, as the flooding and landslide triggered by the incessant monsoon rains in the run up to Dashain has affected life of the people and rendered a large number of Nepali citizens homeless," the Speaker said in the message.

Stating that 'victory of truth over falsehood' is the biggest message of Dashain, he said this festival, along with boosting faith on goddess Durga, also played an equally important role in strengthening the bond between family and the community. (RSS)
