National mourning for three days, national flag to be lowered to half-mast

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct.1: The government has declared a national mourning over the irreparable loss of life and property caused by the incessant downpours of September 27 and 28. 

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday decided to lower the Nepali national flag to half-mast for three days while declaring mourning for three days. 

Home Ministry spokesperson, Rishiram Tiwari said that the government has decided national mourning for those who lost their lives in the natural calamities that claimed over 200 lives. 

So far, 217 people have lost their lives in disaster and 28 are still missing.
