More than 500 families affected by floods in Sunsari

Inaruwa (Sunsari), Sept 29: More than 500 families have been affected by rain-induced floods in Sunsari.  

  
Local Wajuddin Mansuri said that more than 40 houses have been inundated in Koshi rural municipality-4.    


Likewise, Ward member of Inruwa municipality-1 Pradeep Dhakal shared that some houses of ward nos. 1, 4, 3 and 8 of the municipality have been flooded. Houses in Harinagar, Dewanganj, Bhokraha, Duhabi, Barju rural municipality and Itahari sub-metropolitan city have been inundated.    


He said that more than 500 families in the district were affected by the flood.    


Meanwhile, one person has been electrocuted in Barahkshetra Municipality-4. Bikhon Chaudhary,55, died due to electric shock while charging his City Safari e-richshaw.

    
District Police Office Spokesman Naveen Krishna Bhandari said he died on the spot in the incident.  (RSS)
