Two killed in Phidim landslide

By Radha Luitel, Phidim, Sept.28: Two people died when a landslide buried home at Chisapani, Phidim Municipality-4, Panchthar. 

The deceased have been identified as 24 year old Sapana Sherpa, currently living at Phidim Municipality-4, and having permanent address at Phidim Municipality-12, and her five year old daughter Dolma Sherpa. 

Their house was buried at 4 AM on Saturday. They rented a place some distance away from the place where the landslide occurred but both of them had gone to live in a friend’s house that night.

The landslide also swept away the building of Nepal federation of Indigenous Nationalities, Panchthar. the landslide occurred above the house near *the same tribal building and killed mother and daughter.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hemant Bhandari, chief of the District Police Office, Panchthar, the dead bodies of both mother and daughter have been recovered-.
