Adhikari nominated in Germany’s Integration Conference

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 27: Nepali Samaj Germany’s chairman Shiva Adhikari has been nominated as the first Nepali member of the Integration Conference of the Hessian Ministry of Labour, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs. 

According to a press statement issued by Nepali Samaj, this prestigious selection marks a significant recognition of the contributions made by the Nepali community in Germany.

Under the chairmanship of Minister Heike Hofmann, the Hessian Integration Conference was constituted for this legislative period at a meeting in State Hesse, Germany

Shiva Adhikari, a respected figure within the diaspora in Hesse, has been actively involved in promoting integration and fostering cross-cultural understanding for over 20 years.

Adhikari, who hails from Siraha, Nepal, holds a master’s degree in engineering and business administration and has lived in Germany for the past 25 years.

Nepali Samaj founded in 2003, is a registered non-profit organisation that promotes cultural exchange, supports integration efforts and executes social and sustainable projects in Nepal. The association advocates for the social and economic well-being of the Nepali diaspora and other migrant communities in Germany.

His nomination to the Integration Conference is not only an acknowledgement of his skills and dedication but also a tribute to the Nepali community's role in enriching the multicultural landscape of the state. “This nomination highlights the appreciation and recognition of our efforts to integrate and contribute to German society,” said Adhikari. “I am eager to bring my knowledge, perspectives, and ideas to the Integration Conference and help shape policies that strengthen social cohesion in our diverse society.”

The Integration Conference of the Hessian Ministry of Labour, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs is a key body addressing issues of migration and integration. The conference includes prominent personalities from industry, politics, research institutions, and various organisations.
