Two people dead in Sankhuwasabha tractor accident

Khandbari (Sankhuwasabha), Sept 18: Two people died in a tractor accident that occurred at Samatar of Makalu rural municipality-3 along the Khandbari-Kimathanka route in Sankhuwasabha.

The deceased have been identified as tractor driver Kiran Shreshtha, 19, of Khandbari municipality-8, and his assistant Udit Shrestha, 17 of the same locality, according to District Police Office, Khandbari's police inspector Ram Kumar Lamichhane.     

The vehicle ( Province 1-02003 Ta 1437) fell some 300 meters off the road passing through a cliff to plunge into the Arun River as it was en route to Khandbari from Barun. Police are searching for a truck that has been missing since the accident, it is said. (RSS)
