blog

By Avinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi, Sept.16: The provincial government of Sudur Paschim, which has spent two months of the current fiscal year without a budget, will present the revised budget in the provincial assembly today.

The current government will endorse a budget presented by the then-incumbent provincial government of Sudur Paschim provincial assembly on July 15 after revision.

The government led by the then Chief Minister of the Province Dirgha Bahadur Sodari, presented a budget of 31.62 billion rupees in the assembly. However, the budget failed to pass because of the country's political situation, making the province run without any budget.

The Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah admitting the delay to unveil the budget had informed through a press conference a few days back about endorsing the budget today.

The government is all set to bring the budget according to constitutional and legal procedures. Since the previous policies and programs have already been passed by the assembly, the budget will be based on those.

A meeting of the province assembly has been scheduled today at 3 PM to announce the budget.

Economic Affairs Minister Bahadur Singh Thapa will present the budget.
