Kathmandu, Sept 8: The top leaders of the ruling parties- the Nepali Congress and the CPN UML- along with Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli held a discussion on contemporary issues.
NC President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Foreign Minister Dr Arju Rana Deuba from Nepali Congress and Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel from UML participated in the discussion held at PM's Residence, Baluwatar this evening.
The PM's secretariat said that the discussion dwelt on issues including review of the government's functioning and making it more effective.
UML Chair Oli was appointed the Prime Minister on July 14 as per the agreement reached between the two major parties of the federal parliament, the Nepali Congress and the CPN UML on July 1.(RSS)
