Quality education serves solid base for country development: Speaker

Chautara (Sindhupalchowk), Aug 24: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire said quality education is the main foundation of country's development.     

In his address to a programme organized on the occasion of 24th anniversary of Chautara Multiple Campus in the headquarters of Sindhupalchowk district today, Speaker Ghimire claimed the country's prosperity is measured on the basis of the excellence in the education field.     

Speaker Ghimire stressed the need for significantly increasing investment in the education sector to produce all kinds of human resources required in the country and stressed the need for honest implementation of the state's policy to provide quality education to the citizens.     

Expressing happiness to know that most of the pass-outs of the campus have reached high-ranking positions of the State, he said that quality education would be attained only from effective education policy, age-appropriate curriculum, convenient physical infrastructure and effective monitoring and evaluation.     

On the occasion, Speaker Ghimire honoured campus founders Krishna Raj Shrestha, Madhav Lal Karmacharya, former Minister of Bagmati Province Yubaraj Dulal among others.(RSS)
