Foreign Minister Rana claims India visit successful

Kathmandu, Aug 23: Foreign Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has claimed that her recent official visit to India remained successful.     

In a meeting of the NC central executive committee on Friday, she apprised the meeting that she had the India visit from August 18-22. As she said, the visit contributed significantly to promote the goodwill between Nepal and India.     

She added that she hoped that the visit had also added up to consolidate friendly, cooperative, multidimensional and close relations between the two countries.     

"I realised India gestured a well response to the coalition government formed by two major political parties," Rana shared.     

During her stay, the Foreign Minister held a courtesy call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a bilateral meeting with her Indian counterpart Dr S Jaishankar. Such high-level meetings conferred the issues to promote bilateral interests and relations.     

Meantime, the NC leader insisted on the need for the party to further promote the issue of inclusion in the party and the State's each mechanism as well.(RSS)
