Kathmandu, Aug 17: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP)-Nepal has demanded withdrawal cases filed against the agitators in course of the Madhes movement held in different stages.
A central committee meeting of the party held on August 11-14 decided to urge the government to withdraw cases lodged against the protestors and release those detainees as per the agreement signed with the government
Making public the 67-point decision of the meeting today, the JSP demanded the release of the prisoners of the Madhes movement as well as the release of the frozen land and property. "The government should withdraw the cases against the Indigenous peoples, Limbuwan and Kirat agitators who are agitating for their identity and resolve the problems fairly," the JSP said.(RSS)
