Vatican City's envoy calls on Vice President

Kathmandu, Aug. 15: The Ambassador of Vatican City (Holy Sea) to Nepal, Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, called on Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav at the latter's office on Thursday.     

During the meeting held at the Office of the Vice-President at Lainchaur, issues of bilateral relations between Nepal and the Holy Sea were discussed, according to a press statement issued by the Office of the Vice-President.     

"Both Nepal and the Holy Sea are the countries having unflinching faith in world peace, tolerance and broader human welfare. Nepal has been joining hands together with the stakeholders to spread the messages of Lord Gautam Buddha, the champion for peace," the Vice President said.     

On the occasion, Leopoldo Girelli said that both Nepal and the Holy Sea believe in peace, co-existence and common values of brotherhood and both countries have been respecting human existence.(RSS)
