Home Minister seeks Qatar's support for the release of Bipin

Kathmandu, Aug. 15: Ambassador to Qatar to Nepal Mishaal Bin Mohamed Ali Al-Ansari paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak at the Home Ministry in Singha Durbar on Thursday.     

On the occasion, issues of bilateral interests between the two countries were discussed.     

During the meeting, Minister Lekhak made a special request to Ambassador Al-Ansari to provide needed support for the release of Nepali student Bipin Joshi from the captivity of Hamas militants.     

Likewise, Minister Lekhak urged the Qatari Ambassador to ensure an insurance scheme to Nepali migrants that is applicable round-the-clock and ensure prompt rescue to the injured ones and relief to the families of those who die in Qatar.     

Similarly, Minister Lekhak urged Ambassador Al-Ansari to make arrangements for the amnesty to those Nepali migrants doing jail time in Qatar.     

On the occasion, the Qatari Ambassador informed the Home Minister that Qatar was making efforts for the release of Bipin Joshi.     

He also appreciated Nepali migrant workers for their contributions to Qatar's development.(RSS)
