KP Sharma Oli In Parliament

blog

The important statements made for the country, the voices expressed on behalf of the people, the past, the present, and the future, and the serious issues of reality and potential importance can sometimes be lost without reaching the public sphere. Such materials can sometimes get stuck somewhere and become meaningless.

Ideas that can bring the suffering of the country and the people to an end, make the country and the people prosperous and happy, open the door to a new era, and steer the future on the right path can sometimes be useless even if they remain in the archives because they do not reach the targeted groups.

Let alone others, the views expressed by the Prime Ministers, Ministers, and MPs in the Parliament can be lost in oblivion like this. Once they are heard in the speech, once printed in the newspaper, they can become invisible. If this happens, it will be a great loss for the country and the people.

The views and opinions of all those who spoke in the Parliament should be important, but that is not the case. All those who have the opportunity to stand on the rostrum of the Parliament and speak do not have the same level of intelligence, foresight, logical ability, and oratory skills. Only some can give high-quality, timeless ideas. A country rarely gets such people. The ideas and plans of such people can impact not only their country, but the world over. Those ideas and plans are useful not only for their country but for the whole world. The ideas and plans of such people should be preserved and protected. Ideas should then be documented in a simple and easily accessible way for everyone.

"KP Sharma Oli in Parliament" is one such book. One such document reaches the general public. It contains all the views expressed by the current president of CPN-UML from 2048 to 2074 BS when he was in various parliamentary roles. This book is a compilation of what ideas were expressed by KP Sharma Oli in Parliament and the Constituent Assembly in various periods regarding political, social, diplomatic, economic, cultural, international relations, national sovereignty, integrity, and self-respect, as well as people's livelihood and development. The important topics and references covered by KP Sharma Oli in the Parliament are compiled in this book, which gave voice to the needs of the time.

The book contains most of the topics related to the country and the people in terms of presenting the views expressed by KP Sharma Oli in Parliament. The sorrows and joys of the country and the people have been expressed. The bright and dark aspects of the country and the people have been revealed. Ideas are presented whether they are of immediate or long-term importance, and the topics are practical or theoretical.

The opinions expressed by KP Sharma Oli on democracy, human rights, political stability and peace, national security and diplomatic efficiency, foreign policy, various treaty agreements on borders of the country, the sovereignty and integrity of the country, the legal tradition of running the Parliament, the role and relationship of the government and the opposition, and the rule of law are collected. Ideas related to the concept, application, and compliance of the constitution are covered. Issues such as women's rights and gender equality, education, literature, culture, art, and tradition, religious harmony, and tolerance have been taken up with serious interest and commitment. Similarly, in Oli's statements, education, health, various areas of people's livelihood, natural disasters, the black market, corruption, procrastination, state terror, Maoist rebellion, squatters’ hardships, and issues such as refugees and natural resources have been given high importance. Similarly, the issues raised for the development of the country and the happiness and prosperity of the people  have importance.

The views expressed by KP Sharma Oli in various positions in the Parliament on behalf of the party, government, opposition, and himself have repeatedly created ripples on the national and international level. The ideas that have been expressed in favour of the people and the country have changed over the course of time. Some issues of national and international interest have been differentiated. Those ideas have guided the country's people and political parties on some issues. In this way, KP Sharma Oli, who expressed his current and long-term views on behalf of the country and the people, deserves the gratitude of the entire nation and the people of Nepal.

The publication of this 836-page book on not only political but also all aspects related to the nation and people is a matter of pride. It would be unfair not to thank Sanumaiya Khadka (Savita) for the important work she has done by collecting all the materials with hard work and editing and publishing them. The price of the book is Rs. 2000. The colloquial language is used in the present book. The topics have been repeated in some places. The sentences too are long. While speaking, references have been made from place to place. It seems natural that all these things should happen because the things that were said in the Parliament are taken down in this book.

Congratulations to the compiler, editor, and publisher, Sanumaiya Khadka, for the enthusiasm and awareness for the publication of the second volume of this book.
