Kathmandu, Aug. 8: President Ramchandra Paudel has, on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, determined the hierarchy of federal ministers.
The hierarchy of the members of Council of Ministers formed on July 15 was determined in accordance with Article 76 (9) of the Constitution, according to Spokesperson of the Office of the President Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai.
The hierarchy comprises Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli followed by Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh and Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel.
Likewise, the hierarchy extends to Minister of Communications and Information Technology Prithvisubba Gurung, Minister of Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Sharad Singh Bhandari followed by Minister for Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Arju Rana, Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav and Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Adhikari.
This is followed by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Navalkishore Shah Sudi and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal.
According to the hierarchy, Transport Minister Dahal is followed by Minister for Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasia. This is followed by Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Paudel, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Ramnath Adhikari, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bidya Bhattarai, Minister for Defense Manbir Rai, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Rajkumar Gupta and Minister for Forest and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri.(RSS)
