One hundred sheep perish due to lightning

Jumla, July 30: Around 100 sheep have died after being struck by lightning in Deuli Patan of Tila Rural Municipality of Jumla.     

Chairperson of the Rural Municipality Motilal Rokaya shared that 100 sheep belonging to nine farmers of Pokhari in ward no-7 of the rural municipality died today due to lightning strike in Deuli Patan.     

The sheep owned by farmers Bhim Bahadur Rokaya, Lalsingh Rokaya, Kali Bahadur Rokaya, Bir Bahadur Rokaya, Bal Bahadur Rokaya, Kali Bahadur Bohora, Naine Budha and Ram Bahadur Rokaya perished in the incident.     

Lalsingh Rokaya, 55, from Tila-7 was also struck by lightning and sustained minor injuries", Chairperson Rokaya said.(RSS)
