Ghimire appointed Chief Whip of NC Parliamentary Party

Kathmandu, July 20: Shyam Kumar Ghimire has been nominated as the chief whip of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party.     

Congress President and Parliamentary Party Leader Sher Bahadur Deuba nominated Ghimire as Chief Whip today. Ghimire has been given the responsibility of the chief whip after the party's outgoing chief whip, Ramesh Lekhak was appointed as the home minister.     

     

Also a member of the NC Central Committee, Ghimire was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Sindhuli Constituency No. 1 in the last general elections. (RSS)
