Chitwan landslide: Missing buses still not found

Chitwan, July 12 : Two passenger buses missing in Trishuli river after the landslide at Simaltar along the Mugling-Narayanghat road section are still not found.  

  
Two passenger buses carrying around 65 passengers had gone missing in the river at 3:30 this morning in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 in Chitwan district.  

  
Likewise, the Chief District Officer of Chitwan, Indra Dev Yadav, said the rescue teams have faced some difficulties due to continuous rain and the swollen Trishuli river.    


Currently, the rescue teams including the divers of the Nepali Army and Armed Police Force, Nepal have been mobilized in the boats to search for the missing buses.   

 
According to Yadav, a bus of Ganapati Deluxe heading to Gaur of Rautahat from Kathmandu was carrying 41 persons and the next bus on its way to Kathmandu from Birgunj had 24 persons on board.
