A section of road along Siddhartha Highway sinks, vehicles stranded

By Arjun Kafle, Syangja, July 7: A road section along the Siddharth Highway at Tulsibhanjyang in Galyanga municipality-11 has sunk due to incessant rainfall.

Vehicles have got stuck while passengers stranded as the road has caved in at two places.

Indra Bahadur Rana, Deputy Superintendent of Police, informed that a road section stretching 50 meters long and 3 meters wide has sunk.

DSP Rana said efforts were underway to resume at least one way vehicular movement in the area where road has sunk. He urged all not to go near river sides and stay at home as the incessant rainfall has flooded the rivers and streams.
