Two die of 'excessive heat' in Banke

By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, June 16: Due to the heat wave the life of Banke among other districts has been affected.

As a result, two people have lost their lives. 

Khajura Rural Municipality's Gold treader Topendra Sunar died after fainting due to excessive heat.

The operator of Metro Jwelers in Khajura Bazaar Sunar, on Friday, fainted after heading towards the shop from the house on a motorbike. 

After feeling uneasy he sat down at the roadside of Dhanauli by stopping his bike. 

District Police Office Banke Chief Tul Bahadur Karki informed that unconscious Sunar was taken to a hospital by locals and Police where the doctor declared him dead.

Similarly, 104 years Kailash Giri residing at the Nilsagar Ashram in Nepalgunj died due to accessive heat, informed Ashram Operator Sarita Khanal.

Khanal said that Giri was declared dead by doctors while she was rushed to the Bheri Hospital.

Banke, Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchanpur districts have been witnessing accessive heat lately for a few days.

Locals have complained that heat waves affected lives across the region.

Doctors have said that because of persistent heat, health problems like Diarrhea, vomiting, headache, skin problems, allergies, viral and fainting among others are seen in the people.
