Committed to realize people's aspiration, says DPM Lamichhane

Kathmandu, June 12: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane has said that the current government is working to address the needs of the country and for the welfare of the people.     

Speaking at the founding day celebrations of Nepal Samajbadi Party here today, he said that he is committed to realizing the dreams of the citizens while embracing the system obtained from various struggles and sacrifices. "We are moving ahead with the hope and confidence that 'everything cannot be done, but much can be done," he said.     

He also claimed that ministers from his party, the Rastriya Swatantra Party have performed well so far. Lamichhane emphasized that the provinces should be run according to the spirit and vision of the constitution, as many questions have been raised regarding the structure and functioning of the sub-national governments. "Lot of concerns has been raised about the functioning of the provinces. It should be improved as we moved forward", he said. (RSS)
