literary figures have been awarded with the Madhupark Honour on the occasion of
the 57th anniversary of the Gorkhapatra Corporation's monthly
literary magazine, the Madhupark.
The anniversary was marked amidst a special function today.
Those who have been honoured with Madhupark Honour 2081 are Prof. Krishna Gautam, Manju Kanchuli and Kishor Pahadi.
The honour
includes a sum of Rs. 50,000 and a felicitation letter. Literary critic Prof.
Dr. Basudev Tripathi handed over the honour to the awardees.
On the occasion, Prof. Tripathi lauded the Madhuparka's unique role in the promotion of the Nepali literature.
Speaking on the
occasion, executive chairman of the Gorkhapatra Corporation, Bishnu Prasad
Subedi, viewed that the Madhupark was a learning center for the Nepali literary
landscape.
He said as
the Gorkhapatra daily carries the history of Nepali journalism while also being
a school of the discipline, The Madhupark is that of the Nepali literature and
it has contributed a lot for promoting the Nepali literature.
He also said
that the Corporation was digitizing all of its publications so as to preserve
all of them.

Airi, General Manager of the Gorkhapatra Corporation, said the efforts were being
made of late to reform in the content and presentation of the Corporation's
publications.
