Kathmandu, June 12: Toss has been
delayed in the match between Nepal and Sri Lanka under the ICC Men's T20 World
Cup Cricket tournament due to non-stop rain.
The toss was delayed due to rain at
the Broard County Stadium in Florida this morning, the ICC said.
Today's match is considered
important for both the teams. Nepal who lost first of the four matches in the
group stage, is looking to win the second match,.
Likewise, Sri Lanka who lost both
their previous matches is under pressure to win today's match to make it to the
last eight.
Nepal and Sri Lanka are going to
face each other for the first time in the senior cricket tournament.
Nepal lost to the Netherlands by
six wickets in the first match of the group stage while Sri Lanka suffered a
defeat to South Africa by six wickets in the first match and Bangladesh by two
wickets in the second match.
After today's match, the Nepali
team will go to the West Indies to play remaining two matches of the group
stage. Nepal will play against South Africa on June 14 and Bangladesh on June
16 in St. Vincent, West Indies. (RSS)
