Man arrested on charge of sexual abuse of minor girl

By Arjun Kafle, Syangja, April 25: A 46-year-old man, Chiranjivi Khatri of Pasindanda, Bhirkot Municipality-7, has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing a minor girl.

According to police, the abuse reportedly began on March 2 after the accused lured the 11-year-old victim, and continued multiple times afterward. A complaint was filed on March 9.

Following the complaint's registration, the suspect went into hiding. 

Police later apprehended him from Birgunj and brought him to Syangja for further investigation, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Prasanna Raj Chaudhary.

Khatri has been kept in custody, and further investigation is underway. 

Police said that due to the sensitive nature of the case involving a minor, necessary precautions are being taken during the investigation.
