By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 7: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has discussed with office bearers of the Kathmandu Valley Mayors Forum on Friday.
The discussion held by the PM focused mainly on the waste management of Kathmandu Valley and the role and responsibility of the federal government and local government.
In the discussion, the PM informed that the investment board has been moving forward with the necessary process with regard to Kathmandu Valley's waste management which was recommended by the Mayors Forum.
"The government has been looking forward to waste management of Kathmandu Valley in response to your call for its management by the federal government. The government has directed the investment board to move the process forward." PM Prachanda said, "The investment board has held a discussion in this regard and a decision has been taken to proceed with its implementation. Now this process will get expedition soon".
Lalitpur Metropolitian Municipality Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitian Municipality Sunita Dangol along with other chiefs of different municipalities of Kathmandu Valley were present in the discussion.
