Parliamentarians draw govt.'s attention on various issues

Kathmandu, June 6: Parliamentarians have drawn the attention of the government on various issues in today's meeting of the House of Representatives.     

Speaking during special hour, Metmani Chaudhary objected to police intervention on members of Sworgadwari Guthi Victim Struggle Committee.     

Chaudhary briefed the House about the incident where police intervention took place on struggle committee members and locals who had reached Customs Office, Dang, to demand justice on June 2.     

Similarly, Dr Birendra Prasad Mahato drew government's attention for immediate repair and maintenance of road in Mirchaiya Bazaar from Kamala to Biratnagar, as the section has got damaged in course of expansion of Prithvi highway.     

Stating that country's condition is very deteriorating, Abdul Khan mentioned that country's economic growth is limited to 2.2 per cent and per capita income at 1,410 US dollar.     

Similarly, Prem Suwal underlined that federal and province government's interference on local levels in its development activities was against federalism while Chitra Bahadur KC drew government's attention to resolve problems of cooperative victims.     

Prabhu Sah demanded to control drug abuse as millions of youths of the country are into drug addiction while Sobha Gyawali shared that the concerned ministry should take initiative for permanent solution to flood as locals of Bardiya suffer from floods every year.     

Likewise, Bijula Rayamajhi drew government's attention of huge loss of lives and properties at different places of Arghahanchi and Gulmi districts due to fire in April.
