By Our Correspondent,Lekhnath, June 6: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has instructed to push ahead processes at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences with a time frame to run MBBS courses from the next fiscal year.

Addressing the 7th meeting of the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences in Pokhara on Wednesday, the Prime Minister urged to begin works in a planned manner to run the MBBS course from the coming fiscal year.

Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his belief that once the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences came into operation, it would develop into a strong and reliable institution for medical education in the country.

The Prime Minister instructed that the work of the institution should be carried forward with a logical schedule, as the purpose of the institution to offer study and teaching at the MBBS level would be fulfilled from the next fiscal year. “The government hopes that this institution will develop as a strong and reliable institution for medical education in the country after the postgraduate level of medical education is operational,” Prime Minister Prachanda said.

“Since the purpose of the institution to provide study and teaching at the MBBS level will be fulfilled from the next fiscal year, the work of the institution will be carried forward with a systematic schedule,” he added.

Stating that the role played by this institution in producing reliable and quality health services and skilled doctors for the entire country was exemplary for all medical institutions, the Prime Minister said that the government had given high priority to the development, expansion, and upgrading of the institution.

He mentioned that the government had given priority to establishment and expansion of services despite the existing pressure on the economy and the contraction in resource allocation.

Expressing his belief that the institute would be established as an exemplary educational institution for the entire country in medical sector, Prime Minister Prachanda congratulated all the concerned agencies and the people of Pokhara. He suggested making adequate use of the opportunity.

Recalling that Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences had cooperated with all political parties, social organisations and experts related to the health sector in the past, the Prime Minister emphasized that this pride project of Pokhara residents should be made successful based on cooperation.

Our party is in right place: PM

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Pushpa Prachanda has said that the CPN (Maoist Centre) is in the right place.

“I am on the path of Chunwang. I am on the path of revolution,” he said while speaking at a programme organised by the CPN (Maoist Centre) Gandaki Provincial Committee in Pokhara on Wednesday.

He also added that he said the CPN (Maoist Centre) was progressing towards a socialist revolution.

“After the Maoists entered the peace process, although some groups split off, citing that the original leadership had deviated, the Maoist Center remained in the right place,” he added.

The Prime Minister mentioned that many of the Maoist parties

that had split from the main party have now returned, and initiatives are being taken for unity with some of them.

“Those who claim that the original leadership committed treason are confirmed to be wrong,” he said.

Noting that anarchy, individualism, factions, and self-centred tendencies have flourished in the party, he urged members to defeat such tendencies and move forward. He mentioned that the leadership of the government was necessary for the transformation of the party and the journey toward socialism.

He further said, “If internal unity within the Maoists is strengthened, the present government will last for the full term.”
