By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 5: Half of the men’s volleyball teams have failed to register a single win after playing more than half of the matches at the 8th PM Cup: NVA Volleyball League.
Playing one match a day, the eight men's teams played four matches each until the fourth day (June 4) of the league. The eight men's teams are playing daily with a new opponent in a single round-robin format.
From June 1 to 4, the teams of Nepal APF Club, Sudurpashchim Sports Council, Koshi Province Sports Development Council and Budhanilkantha Volleyball Club have not won any matches.
On the other hand, Tip Top Help Nepal Sports Club, Tribhuwan Army Club, Gandaki Province Volleyball Association and Nepal Police Club have continued their winning streaks.
Nepal Police defeated Koshi, Gandaki overcome Budhanilkantha, Army outperformed Sudurpashchim and Tip Top Help Nepal emerged victorious against APF on Tuesday to register their fourth consecutive win in the league.
Nepal Police won three consecutive sets by a score of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-22 to register their fourth win.
However, Gandaki and Budhanilkantha's match went to the fourth set. Gandaki won the first and third sets (25-14 and 25-18), but lost the second one (22-25). Gandaki then won the fourth set by 25-22 to win the match.
On the other hand, Army won three straight sets with a score of 25-22, 25-15 and 25-22 to hand over Sudurpashchim its fourth loss.

As the eight teams have played four matches each, the four unbeaten teams will now have a hard time to continue the run as the undefeated teams will start facing one another from Wednesday.
