By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 1: The Chairperson of the UML and Parliamentary Party Leader KP Sharma Oli has said that many important topics have been missed in the budget for the fiscal year 2081/82 due to a lack of enough consultation.
In the UML Parliamentary Party meeting that was held in New Baneshwor on Saturday, Chair Oli said, “Provide solutions after a thorough study on which budget heads budget is allocated to which ministries and pay heed on new topics that are included and which are removed."
He said that if the budget was brought with adequate consultation from the parties in government, it would have brought a good budget but the government did not do so.

Chair Oli said that the budget covers important topics, but some other important ones that need to have been considered are missed. He pointed out that even though there was inefficiency in the budget, there was no other option than to pass it. The questions can be raised in discussion but that was such a scenario where it just had to be passed.
He directed to raise issues in the discussion on a budget only after coordination among MPs.
According to him, although the new constitution has a provision to take the country towards socialism, it did not reflect well on the budget. Though the budget is not enough for the economic prosperity of the country, nevertheless, some important topics are covered.
