By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, jun,1: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Dol Prasad Aryal has said that the ‘Shramadhan Employment Fair’ has been organised in all seven provinces of the country with the objective of addressing the multi-dimensional needs of common people's labour and employment through a one-door system.
In his brief talks with corporation officials and journalists after observing the photo exhibition at the Gorkhapatra Corporation building Minister Aryal said that after the launch of the Shramadhan Call Centre, the concept of the ‘Shramadhan Employment Fair’ has reached all seven provinces.
Minister Aryal further said that the objective of the fair was to create an environment for the youth to get employment within the country in the long run.
He said that the fair would promote partnership between the government and private sector for employment generation and utilisation of the skills.
Minister Aryal said, "It will be easier to fulfil the government's goal of ending foreign employment if the federal government continues the fair giving high priority by taking it to the local levels in the coming days." According to him, an environment has been created for youth to participate in the ‘Shramadhan Employment Fair’ held in all seven provinces.
Minister Aryal also clarified that it was not possible to employ many people at the fair. He also informed that the federal government has requested the provincial and local governments to make provisions of the budget to continue the programme in the coming days.
The fair that began from Biratnagar on Thursday would conclude in Lalitpur of Bagmati Province on Wednesday. The fair will be held for two days in each province. Chairman of Gorkhapatra Corporation (GC), Bishnu Prasad Subedi, and General Manager Lal Bahadur Airi also expressed the views about the physical and financial status of the Corporation on the occasion.
