By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 28: Minister for Communication and
Information Technology (MoCIT) Rekha Sharma has urged all to work for changing
the living conditions of the people as this was yet to be achieved even after
the change in the political system of the country.
She said so while making public the photo-book entitled 'Changed Nepal'
published by the Gorkhapatra Corporation.
As the book release also coincided with the Republic Day today, the Minister paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for bringing about the Republic.
Ram Krishna Subedi, secretary of the MoCIT, lauded the book as it would
give a window into three decades of the country from 2030 to 2060 BS.
As the news photos depict the society and disseminate message, we should all be aware that the photos do not send any negative message, said secretary Subedi.
Executive Chairman of the Gorkhapatra Corporation, Bishnu Prasad Subedi,
viewed that the book has brought forth the image and the character of the
Nepali society of the period.
"Publications of the Gorkhapatra has been a witness to all events of the country, and thus the Gorkhapatra has been preserving Nepal history. Book publication is a part of this," he said.
Lal Bahadur Airi, General Manager of the Gorkhapatra Corporation, held
that the publications of the Gorkhapatra were the properties of the Nepali
people.
He shared that the publications of the Gorkhapatra were being achieved
in digitized form.
