Electricity generation to be further strengthened
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 28: The generation of electricity will be further strengthened.
Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun revealed this while presenting the annual estimate of income and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year of 2081/82 BS (2024/25) at the joint meeting of the federal parliament today said that 900 more megawatts of electricity will be added to the making a total of 4,500-megawatts electric capacity in Nepal.
The electricity per person will be made 450 units per unit with the further expansion of the electricity transmission lines.
Planning is underway to export electricity to Bangladesh as well.
