By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 23: The Bais Dhara Mela (22 water spouts festival) has been started in Balaju from today.

The festival is celebrated every year on the day of Chaitra Sukla Purnima. The Jatra continues for five days.

The coordinator of the Management of the Balaju Bais Dhara Mela Gautam Prajapati said that there has been a long throng of Hindu devotees celebrating Bais Dhara Jatra since early Tuesday morning.

It is believed that the virtue that is earned by dipping the sacred Hindu place Muktinath and Gosaikunda is equal to dipping the Balaju Bais Dhara.

The flow from all 22 tapes is maintained to facilitate the devotees.
