By TRN Online, Kathmandu, March 26: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed newly elected members of the National Planning Commission (NPC) to outline programs with a view of increasing production and generating employment .
In an interaction with the members in the PM office today he said that low level of production and employment are the main challenges at this point.
PM Prachanda said that he believes that the commission will effectively play the role as the government’s think tank. He said that the program will be effective and based on data in the coming days.
The PM said that the new team will move forward to take the task of NPC effectively. He said that it will generate speed in facilitating the expedition in implementing the planning, research and development task of the programme.
He has also directed the team to expedite the process of finalizing the projects of the 16th plan and include the strategy and programme of the projects for the coming budget.
PM Prachanda said that we should implement only those infrastructure plan which will increase production and generate employment.
